changed museum activities

The general renovation of the Garden Palais Schönborn will begin in autumn 2024. The display collection has been completely dismantled and moved to the depot. Numerous events and guided tours take place before the renovation. Admission free unless otherwise stated. The museum, SchönDing Shop and Hildebrandt Café are open until 29 September. In October, the inner courtyard and the former air-raid shelter in Schönbornpark are occasionally accessible as part of events.
During the closure of the building in Laudongasse due to construction work, the Volkskundemuseum Wien is relocating its activities to the Otto Wagner Areal (OWA). Office space will be available in Pavilion 1 on Baumgartner Höhe from October 2024. From spring 2025, events are planned as part of a content programme.
